The wrongful death case of Shawn Pirolozzi may finally be coming to and end. Canton City Council is set to begin consideration of a proposed 1.8 million dollar settlement of the matter, stemming pirolozzi's death after a 2005 confrontation with police officers. Last May, a federal court jury ordered the city to pay more than 2 million dollars to the man's estate. An appeal filed by the city could lead to a re-trial, but the city may not want to go that route.
