First Commonwealth Bank Arrives in Stark

CANTON, oHIO (1480 WHBC) (Dec. 5, 2016) – 11 of the First Merit Bank branches in Stark County have become First Commonwealth Bank offices as of Monday.

The old signs are in the process of coming down with the new ones going up.

The Indiana, Pennsylvania-based bank purchased the 11 First Merit offices that are not going over to Huntington.

Also included in the sale were 2 First Merit offices in Ashtabula County.

The new bank has extra staff in its local offices to handle any questions.

For the time being, there will be live call takers at that number from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturdays.
