Ohio EPA: Water Supplies Not Impacted By Big Spill

BETHLEHEM TWP, Ohio (WHBC) – Cleanup of a massive spill of drilling fluid continued in a wetlands area in Bethlehem Township just outside of Navarre on Thursday.

This, as the Ohio EPA says water supplies including the nearby Tuscarawas River are not impacted by the spill associated with installation of the Rover Pipeline.

The 1.5 to 2 million gallon spill occurred last week.

The combination water-and-clay backed up unexpectedly.

A Houston-based company is building the pipeline; the drilling underneath the river is discontinued until the cleanup is complete.
