chain-sawing in the middle of the night.
"Fred," they cried, "it's an emergency - we all have to put up with some inconvenience."
I agree.
This was no emergency.
Nowhere (that I know of) were fallen backyard trees being sawed up at 1:00 a.m.
It's now the next day.
It's quiet; no noise at all. The tree company is long gone.
The trees cut up and the power lines are hanging in the yard. Power is still out.

It's dangerous to chainsaw trees in darkness.
Ohio Edison will get to this site as soon as they can.
We still have several thousand homes in Alliance without power. But again . . .and I stress this . . .
I may be wrong about this whole matter.
Maybe this was the only time available.
If I was cranky, it's because I go to bed at 8:00 or 8:30 and get up at 2:30 a.m.
Sleep deprivation can make a man CRANKY . . .
