Affinity Medical Center officials have announced plans to demolish the former Doctors Hospital in Perry Township. A spokesman says Affinity is spending about 100-thousand dollars a month maintaining the building, which has been vacant for more than a year. There's been little interest from buyers, though the facility has been proposed as a site for a Veterans Administration Hospital. However, Affinity's CEO says he has not been contacted by the VA about the proposal.
