Jobs and needed income tax revenue is coming to Canton following city council's approval of a new development agreement. The deal allows Astoria Skilled and Nursing Rehabilitation in Meyers Lake to recieve city water and sewer services at in-city rates. Economic Development Director Robert Torres says the owner of the nursing facility will pay incentives. Between 70 and 75 jobs will be created. Completion of the 6.4 million dollar facility is slated for this May.
