Fred Chenevey joined WHBC in 2000.
He is currently hosting The Morning Show with Pam Cook.
Prior to returning home to Ohio,
Fred worked in New York, anchoring hourly newscasts
on the RKO Radio Network,
now known as the United Stations Radio Networks.
He was also midday anchor for two years
at WCBS in New York,
where he was chosen to host
"The Ticker Tape Parade"
following the first fight with Sadaam Hussein.
Before New York, Fred was News Director
for KMPC in Los Angeles.
Fred says that " . . . working for
the 'Old Cowboy' Gene Autry
was a wonderful experience . . ."
Before LA, Fred was morning anchor
and co-host at KFRC in San Francisco.
He was selected "Newsperson Of The Year"
for the RKO Chain of radio stations.
Prior to KFRC,
he served as News Director at WOW in Omaha.
Fred is also a veteran of the United States Air Force,
having served in North Dakota and Korea, among others.
Fred and his wife, Karen, live in Alliance, Ohio.
Their son, Christopher, is a lawyer in Miami.
Fred also has one pet, his faithful companion, Lilly. (Seen Below)
