Stark County's homeless population is on the increase. A newly-released survey from the Stark County Homeless Services Collaborative shows the number of people without a roof over their heads is 768. The count was conducted last month. That's up from 729 counted a year ago. Officials cite the weak economy and recent layoffs for the uptick.
