There's a new person in charge at Malone University. The university's board of trustees on Thursday appointed provost Wilbert Friesen as interim president, replacing former president Gary Streit. Streit announced his retirement in February, following concerns about his use of unattributed material in some speeches.
Trustees also appointed dean of Arts and Sciences Donald Tucker as interim provost. Tucker will continue to serve in his position through the current academic year.
