I-77 Paving Project Begins Tuesday Night in Tuscarawas County

NEW PHILADELPHIA, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – Time again for ODOT to “roll out the barrels”, with the Memorial Day holiday over now.

An $8.9 million project gets started along I-77 between Strasburg and New Philadelphia, with repaving work underway between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. each night.

At least one lane of traffic will be maintained.

Paving will also take place at the Route 39/U.S. 250 interchange at New Philadelphia.

The work should all be wrapped up in October.

There’s also culvert work on 77 around Newcomerstown, but ODOT’s Lauren Borrell says we’ll see little traffic impact from that.
