Stark Hunger Task Force Summer Backpack Program Begins Monday
CANTON, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – The Stark County Hunger Task Force begins its Summer Backpack program on Monday.
They are distributing food at the Ken Weber Community Campus at Goodwill on 9th Street SW starting Monday from 10 until 2.
Also at the Massillon Public Library branches this week.
The program begins at the Stark County Library branch and bookmobile locations next week.
Kids ages 3 to 17 are eligible.
Each bag contains breakfasts, lunches, snacks, and drinks, two of each.
Here’s the schedule from the Stark County Hunger Task Force:
Starting June 5th and running through August 11th Backpacks will be distributed every Monday-Friday from 10am-2pm at the Ken Weber Community Campus at Goodwill at 408 9th SW Canton, OH 44707. Campus will be closed on June 19 th and July 4th.
In addition, Stark County Hunger Task Force will we teaming up with Stark Library and Massillon Library to distribute Backpacks at various branches and bookmobile locations. The schedule is as follows:
Stark Library June 12th – August 4th:
o Schreiber School-Mondays: 11:30am-12:30pm
o Main Library-Tuesdays: 9am-8pm
o Madge Youtz Branch-Tuesdays: 4pm-6pm
o Linwood-Tuesdays: 12pm-1pm
o Creek’s Crossing- Wednesdays: 11:30am-12:30pm
o DeHoff Community Branch-Thursdays: 9am-5pm
o Jackson Sherrick- Thursdays: 11:30am-12:30pm`
o Skyline Terrace-Thursdays: 1:30pm-2:30pm
o Ellisdale Homes-Fridays: 11:30am-12:30pm
o Mahoning Manor-Fridays: 1:30pm-2:30pm
