15 Killed on Roads Over Holiday Weekend, One Fatal Crash in Stark

COLUMBUS, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – 15 people were killed on Ohio’s highways over the four-day holiday period that ran from Friday through the day Monday.

The state patrol says six of the 15 fatal crashes were OVI-related.

Of the 15 fatal crashes, one occurred in Osnaburg Township along Route 30 (Lincoln Way E) west of Broadway Avenue Saturday night.

34-year-old Jacqlyne Lindberg was killed in a two-vehicle crash involving her pickup truck and an SUV.

Another happened Friday afternoon In Akron when a 33-year-old motorcyclist collided with an SUV on East Tallmadge Avenue.

24 people were killed over the holiday weekend last year.
