16 Salmonella Cases Tied to Jif Recall

ORRVILLE, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC and ONN) – 16 salmonella cases have now been tied to the Jif peanut butter recall, with two people ending up in the hospital.

The bacteria has been traced to a Lexington Kentucky plant.

Parent company JM Smucker says if you have Jif with a lot number ending in 4-2-5, don’t eat it, and go to the website for a free replacement.

The Orrville company estimates a $125 million hit from the recall.
