3 Indicted in Connection With Vicious New Phila Beating Incident

NEW PHILADELPHIA, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – Three men arrested in connection with the savage beating of a New Philadelphia man back in August have been indicted on felonious assault and aggravated burglary charges.

38-year-old Todd Riordan of Massillon, 36-year-old Jared Soltero of Minerva and 36-year-old Christopher Beatty of New Phila have been indicted by the Tuscarawas County grand jury.

The three all work for the same energy services company.

New Philadelphia police say the three were drinking with the victim at a city bar when they later went over to the victim’s Fair Avenue NW home and began beating him.

He even suffered a partially detached ear and facial fractures.

A fourth man was also arrested, but he has not been formally charged.
