3 Stark Red Cross Volunteers Assisting in Helene-Stricken Areas

CLEVELAND, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – A thousand American Red Cross volunteers are assisting in the response to the destruction inflicted by Hurricane Helene.

A dozen are from northern Ohio, including three from Stark County.

Mahogany Coward of Canton is a longtime volunteer, running shelters in Florida this time around.

This, while Jeff and Laura Mann from Louisville are running snacks to those displaced by flood waters in Asheville.

90-percent of the work done by the American Red Cross is done by volunteers.
