Massillon Man Killed in Train Accident in Brewster

BREWSTER, Ohio (1480 WHBC) (Nov. 7, 2016) – The Stark County coroner says a Massillon man died of massive blunt impact injuries in an accident.

That accident happened in the Wheeling and Lake Erie Railway yard in Brewster Sunday night.

An investigator with the office believes 37-year-old Larry Thomas stumbled while working in the yard.

He was hit by a rail car from one of the trains he was operating by remote control.

OSHA and the Federal Railroad Administration are also investigating.
