A WHBC Legend gets a well-deserved Honor

We are proud to announce that a beloved member of the 1480 WHBC family is being honored posthumously.  In our 75th year of high school football,  Jim Johnson is being given the Jim Craig award at the Stark County High School Football Hall of Fame Banquet.  The Banquet is set for July 19th.  J.J. retired after 28 years with WHBC in 2007.  He passed away in 2012.  You cannot mention WHBC without mentioning Jim Johnson.  His dedication to his craft, his love of high school sports, and his ability to hold you glued to your radio will forever be linked to this heritage station.    A well deserved honor that he certainly would have been uncomfortable accepting.  God Bless.
