AAA: Don’t Depend on ‘Miles to Empty’ Display on Dashboard

COLUMBUS, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – A new AAA survey says 74-percent of drivers use the “miles to empty” figure to determine when to head to the gas station.
Some aren’t making it!
They say those mileage figures can vary.
The research also showed that people tend to “over”estimate how much time they have left before a refill.
The association suggests gassing up as soon as the fuel gauge hits a quarter full.
