Accidental Child Shooting Death Means Prison Time for ‘Dad’

CANTON, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – The 37-year-old man accused of killing his young son in a Plain Township motel room back in June will serve five years in prison on a negligent homicide conviction.

William Dolch Monday pleaded to that and other charges, reduced from reckless homicide.

Dolch, who is from the Akron area, was in Judge Natalie Haupt’s courtroom.

Stark County sheriff’s investigators say Dolch was handling a gun inside a Knights Inn motel room in the Belden Village area when the weapon fired, killing six-year-old Ka’Marion Dolch who lives in the Cleveland area with his mother.

Two others are also charged.
