Akron Teen Facing New Charges After Grandfathers Death

AKRON (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – The Akron teen who admitted to starting a house fire last month in the 200 block of Cranz Place is now facing a new set of charges following the death of his grandfather.

71 year old Thomas Allen III died on Friday as a result of injuries he sustained in the house fire which took place on September 23.

Allen’s 15 year old grandson was taken into custody by authorities after he admitted at the scene to starting the fire. A dog was killed in the fire. Now, with the death of his grandfather, the teen now faces aggravated arson, aggravated murder and cruelty to animals charges.
