Almanac Prediction: Snowy Winter, Bitter Cold in Late January

LEWISTON, Maine (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – For over 200 years, the Farmer’s Almanac has been providing winter weather forecasts.

And this year, they’re calling it the season to Shake Shiver and Shovel.

Prognosticators see plenty of snow, though no huge storms, but some bitter cold temperatures below zero in late-January.

As cold as -10 to -20 in the region that does include Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan.

And it could be a White Christmas this year too.

The Farmer’s Almanac is on newsstands now.
