Almanac Predicts Fall Too: Cooler, Wetter, Earlier Snow?

LEWISTON, Maine (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – In addition to predicting an active Winter season, the Farmers Almanac does some Fall forecasting too.

And it may sound a little wintry too…

While there have been some delightful Fall days in past years, those longtime weather gurus at the Almanac see more clouds, more rain and even some snow in October.

There could be frost on the pumpkin.

That sounds much like the magazine’s Winter forecast, though a La Nina developing then could keep temperatures milder, at times.

They remind us: with that with the loss of more than two hours of daylight each day, Mother Nature is preparing to give the cue to the deciduous leaves to change color.
