A frozen spinach recall is underway in nearly 20 states due to listeria concerns. Sprouts Farmers Market issued the recall for its 16-ounce bags of Frozen Cut Leaf spinach and Frozen Organic spinach.

Customers can either throw the bag away or return it to the store for a refund. Listeria is a potentially fatal infection that can sicken newborns, the elderly, and people with weakened immune systems.

The states affected by the recall are Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, Texas, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia
