Another Friday Night
Another Friday Night….Another outstanding Friday Night battle in the Fed! The One…The Only 1480 WHBC On the Road to Jackson as the Bears will host the Bulldogs of McKinley.
This game has offered the unexpected year after year. In the past 5 seasons we have seen as many as 74 points combined for both teams. We’ve seen as few as 33. We have had offenses that resembled a track meet, and defenses with multiple goal line stands. That makes this year’s game just as enticing.
Both teams are 4 – 1 overall…..both teams are unblemished at 3 – 0 in the Fed. This game is huge. Not only toward aspirations of winning the league title, but for a big bucket of points to reach week 11. We know that McKinley prefers to ground and pound. The more servings of Lameir Garrett the better. Jackson can be just a methodical by land with Ethan Adkins, but opportunistic, and lethal in the passing game with 10 scores by air. However, it’s a Bulldog defense that has picked off 10 with one Pick 6. On the other side, the Bears have 4 INT’s. Mckinley has thrown 10 picks. Turnovers, penalties could quickly and emphatically determine the outcome. Efficiency, discipline, fundamentals, and ball management will be crucial for both teams.
It’s a game that never disappoints. Robert Fife Stadium will be Rockin’ with the Bears and the Bulldogs. And, to add to the festivities, this Coach Palmisano guy will be pinch hitting this week for Mark Miller! Good to have you back Joe! From my perspective in the booth….it’s Week 7..let’s just keep on rockin’! Pre game at 6:50..Kick Off at 7pm for the Sarchione Ford Game of the Week! See ya’ll On the Radio
