Association: Half of Ohio Restaurants are Closed During Pandemic

COLUMBUS, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – The Ohio Restaurant Association estimates that half of all eateries in Ohio are closed.

Some restaurant owners are saying they are closed permanently; the association says it remains to be seen how many stick with that.

Some have also said they want to file for bankruptcy protection.

Association President John Barker says their 23,000 businesses employ about 585,000 people.
