Bat Tests Positive for Rabies in Massillon

MASSILLON, Ohio (News talk 1480 WHBC) – It serves as a reminder that rabies is still out there.

A bat tested positive for rabies in Massillon last week.

The bat was euthanized, says the Massillon City Health Department.

There have been five positives for rabies in bats in Ohio this year, including another from Wayne County.

Last year, a bat in the Alliance area tested positive.

Stay away from wild animals!
