Beloit Woman Facing Theft Charges in Puppy Selling Scheme

BELOIT, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – A Mahoning County woman is being arraigned in Youngstown on Tuesday on felony and misdemeanor counts of theft.

She’s accused of selling the same mini dachsund and English bulldog puppies many times over as part of a breeding business she ran from her Beloit home.

40-year-old April Waidman who went by other names was indicted on 32 theft counts last week.

Customers who ordered puppies they didn’t receive were ripped off for a reported total of $50,000.

Some customers who did get puppies say the animals were sick.
