Bicyclist Killed Early this Morning in Akron

AKRON (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – A man riding his bike in downtown Akron was killed early this morning after being hit by a car that swerved off the road.
Officers believe the 50 year old male behind the wheel was intoxicated when he went off the right side of South Broadway Street just after 1 AM and struck the bicyclist on the sidewalk.
The driver then continued off on the roadway, striking a parked car. The cyclist was taken to the hospital where he died from the injuries he sustained in the accident just a few hours later. The driver of the car was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
