Big Rivalry’s Annual Food Fight Winding Down

CANTON and MASSILLON, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – Maybe you’re wondering where your McKinley/Massillon Massillon/McKinley Food Fight donations go.

The Stark County Hunger Task Force fills a network of 37 food pantries across Stark County, with many of those pantries in the cities of Canton and Massillon.

There’s also the weekend backpack feeding program, serving over 2000 students in 17 different school buildings.

There’s also the emergency food pantry Monday through Friday at the Ken Weber Community Campus of Goodwill on 9th Street SW.

But we’re getting down to the Food Fight wire.

You can bring donations to the two high schools, to our WHBC studios at 550 Market Avenue S, or to a number of community participants:

Fulton Drugs – 1657 25th Street NW Canton
Medicap Pharmacy – 2012 Lincoln Way W NW, Massillon
Carpe Diem – 215 Market Avenue, North, Canton
Tremont Coffee Co. – 215 Erie St N, Massillon
Mastertech Auto Repair, LLC 25 Cherry Rd NE, Massillon

Finale Rallies are taking place Friday morning at the Carpe Diem coffee shop on Market Avenue S, just south of Centennial Plaza in Canton.

Also, at Tremont Coffee on Erie Street N, a few blocks north of Lincoln Way in Massillon.

The winning school will be named during the second quarter of the 135th rivalry game on Saturday.
