Body of Kayaker Found in River in Cuyahoga Valley NP

CUYAHOGA VALLEY NATIONAL PARK, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – The body of a 70-year-old man who went kayaking in the Cuyahoga River in Akron on Sunday was found on Monday.
70-year-old Doug Maher did not show up at his agreed-upon destination in Brecksville by Sunday night and was reported missing. A drone was used to help locate the body in the water in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park off Akron Peninsula Road.
Maher had gone into the river at the Cascade Valley Metro Park in Akron.
Water levels were high from Friday’s rain.
