Boyd Becomes Magnolia Mayor Over Coin Flip

CANTON (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – They say tails never fails… Well don’t tell that to new Magnolia Mayor Travis Boyd. After finishing the General election for Mayor in a dead even tie with opponent Grant Downes, Boyd won the tie breaking coin toss, thus securing the victory this evening at the Stark County Board of Elections. With the victory, Boyd will become Magnolia’s first Mayor in 40 years.
