CANTON (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – They might not have been on the field every play this season but when called upon they delivered. For that reason, Browns rookie kicker Austin Seibert and punter Jamie Gillan were named to the Pro Football Writers of America All-Rookie Team.

Seibert was selected in the fifth round of last year’s draft out of Oklahoma. He made 25 of his 29 field goal attempts this year, including each of his first 16. The Browns kicker finished the season with 100 points, which set a new franchise record for a rookie.

Meanwhile, Gillan, who is also known as the “Scottish Hammer” was one of just two undrafted free agents to receive honors this year (the other being New Orleans Saints return man Deonte Harris).

Gillan averaged 41.6 yards a punt in his rookie season, which is a Browns record. The rookie out of Arkansas Pine-Bluff was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Month in September.

Here is a look at the full All-Rookie Team.
