Canal Fulton Woman Charged in Deadly Jackson Pizza Shop Accident

JACKSON TWP., Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – A Canal Fulton woman will be arraigned the Monday after Thanksgiving.
She is charged with misdemeanor vehicular homicide in an accident back in October that killed a Canton man.
Jackson Township police say 81-year-old Barbara O’Donnell mistook the gas pedal for the brake, driving though the front window of the Angello’s 2 Go pizza shop on Fulton Drive NW near Everhard Road.
Her car pinned 69-year-old Andrew Grosschmidt against the counter where he was waiting to pick up an order.
He died that night in the hospital.
The man’s granddaughter who was nearby escaped injury.
Township police say O’Donnell was extremely upset about the incident.
