Canton Advancing Enhanced Residential Tax Abatement

(News/Talk 1480 WHBC) – The city of Canton wants you to build a house in the city.
Or if you already live here, add on a porch.
City council is considering an ordinance to expand the Community Reinvestment Area to the entire city, making all residents and residents-to-be eligible for a 15-year, 100% tax abatement on the increased value of the property.
Council will discuss it at their next meeting on Monday night.
