Canton Council Agrees to Spend $4.7 Million for Road Work

(News/Talk 1480 WHBC) – The city of Canton agreed to appropriate $4.7 million to repaving and other road projects in the city this year.
City council passed the appropriations legislation Monday night.
$1.73 million comes from the income tax increase passed last year.
The total figure is 77% higher than what was spent last year.
Among the 59 streets seeing new pavement: portions of McKinley Avenue, Mahoning Road and many of the numbered residential streets.
