Canton Teen Moved to Toledo Facility in Murder Case

TOLEDO, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – 17-year-old Kaitlyn Coones of Canton is now in a Lucas County juvenile facility.

She is charged with juvenile aggravated murder for the killing of a Toledo-area woman.

Prosecutors want the teen tried as an adult.

Coones was moved there from the Stark County jail.

She faces other lesser charges locally

In Toledo, she is charged in the death of 53-year-old Nicole Jones.

Her body has not been found and we don’t know how the killing occurred.

Coones was listed as a missing person when she was discovered with the victim’s son in Mexico two weeks ago.
