CCPH: Air Quality Alert for Stark

CANTON, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – Canton City Public Health has an Air Quality Alert in effect through Monday and Monday night.

Air quality through Monday morning has been in the “Unhealthy” for everyone range above 150.

Once again, particulate matter from Canadian wildfires is in the air.

Here’s some advice from the city’s health department:

People with heart or lung diseases, children, and older adults are the groups most at risk.

These individuals should avoid strenuous outdoor activities, keep outdoor activities short.

Or consider moving physical activities indoors or rescheduling them.

Those not in high risk groups should consider less strenuous outdoor activities.

And shorten the amount of time you are active outdoors.
