(News/Talk 1480 WHBC) – Stark County commissioners have OK’d a request by Children’s Services to put a 1.4 mill replacement levy on the November ballot.

The agency currently collects 1.4 mills, but the replacement levy will be based on current property valuations, resulting in an estimated increase of $1.13 a month for $100,000 in property valuation.

They say 67% of the children in their custody have parents with substance abuse issues.

The county auditor must now certify the request.
