(ONN) – Beer is getting weird.

At the Strange Brew festival in Reno visitors can sample a peanut butter and pickle pilsner, or a smoked carrot stout.

There’s also a garlic bread beer and a macaroni and cheese pale ale.

Brewers have always experimented, but as the craft beer industry has exploded, competition for attention has intensified, especially in Ohio.
