(WHBC) – A majority of Canton City Council Monday night agreed to spend another $7.4 million on that empty plot of downtown land along Market Avenue North.
Council also agreed to change the name of the big proposed attraction from “Market Square” to “Centennial Plaza”.
Mayor Tom Bernabei says work on the attraction with its massive sculpture, two performing stages and cafe is expected to begin in early July.
