County, EMA Recognized for Weather Preparedness

CANTON, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – If you live in Stark County, it’s good to know this is a “Storm Ready County”.

Representatives of the Cleveland office of the National Weather Service came to town to let county commissioners and the county EMA know about that designation this week.

Among the things Stark County has done to achieve that designation: a 24/7 emergency operations center at the EMA office, and a formal hazardous weather plan.
