CPD: Canton Man Kept, Drove Body of Overdose Victim

(News/Talk 1480 WHBC) – A Canton man faces gross abuse of a corpse charges for keeping the body of an apparent overdose victim in his house for approximately a day, then moving the body from his house to the victim’s car and driving it to another location.
61-year-old Michael McGee tells police 51-year-old Michael Hoffeditz of Sugar Creek OD’d late Friday night at his house in the 1100 block of Piedmont Avenue NW.
Police say McGee later drove the car to 11th Street SE where the victim was found early Sunday.
The coroner continues investigating.
