CPD: Kids, Parents Panic As Man Beats Plain Bus Driver
CANTON, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) -A 30-year-old Canton man was arraigned on assault and other charges on Friday.
He’s accused of administering a beating to a Plain Local School District bus driver who was bringing students home back on September 4.
Jeremiah Jackson was arrested last week.
Canton police say he boarded the school bus along Daleford Avenue NE, reportedly to yell at some children.
His son had just gotten off the bus and was crying.
When the 65-year-old driver told him to get off the bus, he began punching the driver in the head and face.
An inducing panic charge is included as children on the bus screamed, as did nearby neighborhood parents, trying to get their kids off the bus.
Parents even opened emergency doors to get the kids out.
