CPD Officers Released from Jail After Posting Bond
CANTON, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – There was a strong police presence at the Stark County Courthouse for the bond hearing for the two Canton police officers charged with reckless homicide in the in-custody death of a Canton Township man back in April.
About 50 officers watched in the courtroom or in an adjoining room as 25-year-old Beau Schoenegge and 24-year-old Camden Burch both posted bond on Monday and were then released from the Stark County jail.
Victim family attorney Bobby DiCello was unhappy with the police presence, but County Prosecutor Kyle Stone says it had no impact on the standard bond the two men paid 10% on.
Both are due back in court for arraignment on Friday.
They are charged in the death of 53-year-old Frank Tyson at the AMVETS club on Sherrick Road SE.
