DeWine Asks for Delta 8 Legislation

COLUMBUS, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC and ONN Radio) – Governor Mike DeWine last week asked the legislature to come up with a new law addressing the sales of what he calls an intoxicating hemp product, known as Delta 8.

DeWine says the product is currently available without restriction, and it’s a safety and health concern for young people.

The Ohio Poison Control Center reports 102 Delta 8 poisonings last year.

40 of them involved kids under the age of six.
