DeWine Offers Assistance to Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – Governor Mike DeWine addressed issues with traffic and health services in the city of Springfield on Tuesday, with the number of immigrants from Haiti continuing to grow.

DeWine says Haitians are not creating problems there, but the population increase is impacting daily services provided to the community.

DeWine is ordering state patrol troopers to the city to assist in traffic control.

Former President Trump and his running mate U.S. Senator from Ohio JD Vance have made claims about the immigrant population that are largely unfounded.
