DeWine Visiting East Palestine on Monday

EAST PALESTINE, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – Governor Mike DeWine will visit East Palestine Monday morning.

He will help cut the ribbon at the new permanent health clinic in the village.

It’s being operated by East Liverpool City Hospital.

After that, DeWine will visit a nearby dairy farm.

That’s where the Ohio Department of Agriculture’s health inspectors will begin the process of testing tissue samples from winter wheat and the barley and other grasses the animals consume.

They are looking for any sign of compounds from the trail derailment back in February.

And the southbound tracks can now be rebuilt in the derailment area, now that all the tainted soil has been removed.

Then, it’s over to the northbound side to do the same thing.
