COLUMBUS, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – Following the override of his veto of a bill dealing with sales of flavored vaping products and other tobacco items, Governor Mike DeWine says the legislature does not want restrictions in place at either the state or local level.
So don’t look for anything to happen there.
Senate President Matt Huffman says there’s no plan to do that.
State Senator George Lang from West Chester Township near Cincinnati says it’s about the economy, and not throwing up roadblocks for the state’s retailers.
Cleveland wanted to come up with a tobacco retail license system in their city.
That’s not going to happen now.
The vaping industry says they are just small businesses, trying to make a living.
