The Big Ten announced today that Buckeyes teammates J.K. Dobbins and Chase Young have been selected as the Big Ten’s offensive and defensive players of the week for their performances in Ohio State’s 38-7 win over Wisconsin.

Offensive Player of the Week
J.K. Dobbins, Ohio State
Jr., RB, La Grange, Texas/LaGrange

  • Totaled 221 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns in Ohio State’s victory against Wisconsin
  • Rushed for 163 yards, averaged 8.1 yards per carry and scored twice to become the first Buckeye to top 1,000 yards rushing as a freshman, sophomore and junior
  • Added three catches for 58 yards in the contest, an average of 19.3 yards per reception
  • Claims his second career Offensive Player of the Week award and second of the season

Defensive Player of the Week
Chase Young, Ohio State
Jr., DE, Hyattsville, Md./DeMatha Catholic

  • Tied school records with 4.0 sacks and 5.0 tackles for loss in the Buckeyes’ win against Wisconsin
  • Improves his nation-leading quarterback sack total to 13.5, becoming the second Buckeye ever to record at least 10 sacks in two seasons and the first since Mike Vrabel in 1994 and 1995
  • Forced two fumbles and set a personal best with six solo tackles
  • Receives his second career Defensive Player of the Week honor and first of the season
