(ONN) – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is looking for the driver of a pickup truck that crashed into the back of an Amish buggy and then took off.

The patrol says the Saturday night crash on State Route 301 in Wayne County killed the horse and injured the 20-year-old man who was driving the buggy.

The buggy driver was treated for his injuries at the scene.

Patrol officials say the vehicle they are seeking is a red or brown pickup truck with amber lights on the roof.

The pickup continued south and left a trail of oil.

Authorities also say it had damage to its right front from the crash.

Anyone with information about the crash is urged to contact the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
